A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Job SummaryExperienced regulatory reporting platform engineer for the Enterprise Data Services (EDS) Application Resiliency team, which supports the run the bank and fix the bank use cases. The team is responsible to maintain security and soundness of the regulatory reporting platforms by ensuring applications are designed to meet the non-functional requirements such as be operability, reliability, maintainability, and performance with minimal administration and production downtime. Provide level 3 and level 4 support, keep the regulatory reporting platforms healthy and operating at low cost with high efficiency, and keep the systems compliant with the Bank's policy and governance framework. The successful candidate utilizes a combination of technologies including Axiom, Autosys, SQL, Windows and Unix operating systems and shell scripts. The candidate is also expected to help operationalize new technical capabilities and evolve the maturity of our platforms while improving the processes.Major Responsibilities :

Build, configure, administer and troubleshoot Axiom application systems in a high availability, fast paced, single instance hosting environment.

Perform complete installs of Axiom SL Controller View V.10.x at all tiers

Provide expert troubleshooting for isolating technical problems in Axiom Architecture including Oracle database, Axiom application and web servers on Linux

Analyze issues with application servers, process schedulers, web servers

Debug and optimize SQL statements within Axiom DB Connect Queries

Have good knowledge of Axiom Architecture including security components

Ability to work simultaneously across multiple environments with multiple project teams

Work with Infrastructure team members (Network, NT and Unix Administrators) to build and deliver services in a stable, highly available and secure single instance hosting environment

Assist with capacity planning, disaster recovery and load balancing activities

Ability to assist and lead responses to Audit queries related to access and security

Knowledge of AWS/Cloud and multi-instance hosting environments is a plus

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

5-7+ experience of working knowledge with Axiom Regulatory platform

5-7+ experience with Regulatory Reporting Platform administration and software development requirements etc.

5-7+ years of experience working with Unix/Linux

5+ years’ software experience in Python, Unix Shell Scripts, Data pipeline

Hands-on experience in advanced SQL

Experience in version control management tools

Experience administering systems and applications in regulatory space including installation, migration, upgrade, and patching of servers under high availability scenario and ensuring compliance with technology standards.

Experience supporting systems including troubleshooting and fixing Infrastructure-related issues, performance issues, upstream data, job failures, Incident tickets, problem tickets, and Change Management tickets.

Experience supporting business including running ad hoc queries for the business, resolution of business tickets, maintaining the reporting on the application health using reports and dashboards, communicating process delays and failures because of the monitoring activities.

Experience keeping the systems compliant by remediating security vulnerabilities, policy variances. Experience working through End Of Life (EOL) and End Of Service (EOS) issues. Experience with vendor management, license management, vendor patching, and patch validation.

Internal System record maintenance (required system documents, server maintenance, software licenses, capacity planning, technology inventory e.g. CMDB)

Disaster recovery planning and testing

Access management and user account management, Service account maintenance (addressing system identified breaks, vaulting existing service accounts on 90 day and 365-day policy)

Find ways to reduce the cost of operating the platform and to squeeze more workload in the existing infrastructure. Optimize the configuration of the hardware and software to drive efficiencies.

Strong written and oral communications

Solid analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and problem-solution skills

Solid presentation and technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to establish mutually productive and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Ability and desire to learn and administer new tools & technologies quickly

Performing data sourcing analysis, data quality, automated testing, exception processing, error handling and notification, and correction processing of the Bank’s source system data

Working with Business IT teams in proactively identifying data issues, and coordinating with the development groups to ensure data accuracy to business analysts, leadership groups, and other end users to aid in ongoing operational insights;

Designing and implementing a robust set of Controls and Reconciliation tools and platforms to support point-to-point and end-to-end comprehensiveness controls and G/L Reconciliations

Working with partners including the Business, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Chief Data Office to assist with technical issues and supporting data infrastructure needs

Handling user inquires and providing level 3 production support including Onsite/Offshore collaboration as needed;

Maintaining best practices to facilitate optimized software development and continuous improvement/delivery (CI/CD); and

Leading, supporting, and coordinating code migration activities; performing peer reviews and quality reviews of code/scripts.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $100K - $125K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
