The Retail Risk Technology Engineering Lead within Retail Risk Technology will own the Retail Risk Technology Application Infrastructure and Process Engineering. We are looking for a person who challenges the status quo, considers all the options and drives consensus with multiple stakeholders to lead adoption of new process and technologies. The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically at a high level and diving deep in pursuit of solving Retail Risk business and technology problems to move the bank forward; and provide support to team members in development of technical, leadership and other professional skills.Responsibilities:
Lead the PBWM Risk Technology Engineering envisioning business purpose, managing risks, interactions with other systems, process efficiency and user-interface design; Develops deep technical understanding of key systems, processes and interdependencies.
Ensure the alignment with Retail Risk target architecture, principles and standards, drive the implementation across oversight consent order deliveries
Foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence in architecture across RRT with modern engineering practices, adoption of open source and open standards, and creating a culture of collaboration and efficiency
Specific responsibilities include:
Partner with global delivery manages across Retail Risk business and technology and manage Application Infrastructure and Process globally in full alignment with Retail Risk Technology Engineering and Architecture practices.
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across the organization, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
Ensure resilience, scale, speed and security of the technical infrastructure
Apply consistent delivery practice aligning to architectural governance to validate the strategic investments of the technology portfolio towards the agreed target state.
Ensure close alignment with technical leaders across the Citi to ensure cohesion across disciplines so that the strategic outcomes are recognized in the implementations.
Conduct and lead the way for design walkthroughs and reviews
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience in Financial Industry
9+ year’s technology leadership experience in Application engineering.
Strong record of successful managing the software engineering delivery across large scale global programs with a successful track record of executing and delivering results.
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex environment managing global teams
Hands-on experiences with standard SDLC and Agile processes
Hands-on experience in Core Java, Multi-Threading, Spring, hands-on experience in Micro Services, Containerization platform using Docker/Kubernetes
Knowledge of Python/Big Data, Spark and Ab Initio is plus
Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree on Computer Science.
