Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast-paced team environment.Sign-on bonus available for qualified CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT, and VTS!Pay: $20 - $40 / hourThis pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our CareerTrax leveling system.As a Neurology Veterinary Technician , you will:

Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).

Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).

Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia

Set up for MRI and CT procedures.

Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etcProvide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values

Perform call backs and refill medications

Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician

Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.

Understand normal vital parameters

Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture

Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.

Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics
