GENERAL MANAGERS: 42,000 - 60,000 a year Plus performance bonuses.
Job brief:
We are looking for a general manager to oversee restaurant operations and workers during scheduled shifts. If you’re a leader committed to quality service and have experience in our industry, we’d like to meet you.
General Manager responsibilities include:
Maintaining a fully-stocked inventory and ordering food supplies, as needed
Track daily labor and food costs and track revenues
Placing truck orders
Local Marketing
Hire, train, and coach new employees
Schedule employee shifts and assign duties
Manage time-off requests and handle last-minute absences
Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance
Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges
Check cash drawers and prepare bank deposits
Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)
Inform the next Manager about pending tasks
Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to management
Ensure health and safety standards are followed
Address customer and employee complaints
Foster and maintain a positive work environment
Report training needs
Skills Preferred:
Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant managerial role
Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations
Commitment to excellent service
Working well within a team
Leadership skills and ability to make decisions fast
Strong problem-solving aptitude
Ability to stand for long periods
