We are looking for someone with skilled nursing experience for 3-4 nights shifts (12 hours) for a 42 year old ALS patient. He is on a ventilator and has a trach so prior skilled experience is a requirement in either home or hospital setting. Nights are generally quiet but caregiver must be trained in all aspects of care in case of an emergency. Ideally there would be one 12 hour day shift as well as the nights and back up for the other two caregivers. Patient uses eye gaze technology to communicate and shares custody of his 5 year old daughter.
Responsibilities may include -
Suctioning
Cough assist
Toileting
Tube feeding
At least an AA degree or pursuing one currently, home health experience , random drug testing and thorough background check
