Either gender is welcome to apply. Job needs are: Hoyer transfers (hoyer training available) , experience with heavy patients is a plus . You will need to perform ADLs, grocery shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and assisting with therapy assignments including pool therapy. Patient uses power wheelchair, You will need to run errands using wheelchair adapted SUV. Be willing to provide companionship. A typical day is from 9a to 9p but actual caregiving typically averages no more than 6 hours a day. You will have plenty of time to catch up on social media, TV or pre-arranged visits with friends. The patient is bright well educated articulate and has a great sense of humor. The home has Wi-Fi, streaming channels, a private pool. This is a 1099 position. Free private room and board, $100 per day paid weekly with your choice of 1 or 2 days off. Recent level 2 background check, your own vehicle with a clean driving record, be drug free and be a non-smoker. This position requires CNA level skills however experience is more important then a specific credential.
