Automotive machine shop needs motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong working knowledge of automotive engine and drivetrain. Start as a driver, transporting new and used (dirty) auto parts, running errands, cleaning shop and restrooms, and other miscellaneous tasks. Delivery vehicle is provided.
Between deliveries and other tasks, you’ll be working in the machine shop cleaning engine components and assisting machinists with assigned tasks, providing you an opportunity to observe and learn the engine machining and assembly processes.
The right person will take advantage of this opportunity to learn the skills necessary to move into a full-time machinist position. Machinist’s earnings increase with the ability to work without supervision and produce the final product.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Working knowledge of engine and drivetrain
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
Mathematical aptitude
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Valid Florida Driver’s License
Punctual and dependable (Being here every day and on-time is vital for us to spend time training you.)
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay is $14.00 per hour
Work Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4pm, with 30-minute break.
