POSITION DESCRIPTION
The concrete finisher is responsible for the overall quality of leveling and texturizing of sidewalks, driveways, etc. on concrete surfaces on our jobs. We require that they be committed to the total Ajax team effort by contributing to the proper completion of the work as directed by the foreman.
RESPONSIBILITIES

or a logical assignment to the position. Major duties include the following:
1. Maintain consistent quality and workmanship texture in handwork.
2. Checks the concrete forms for appropriate depths and angles before the concrete is poured.
3. Assure all joints are properly matched.
4. Cuts and removes all surface imperfections before the concrete has fully hardened.
5. Maintain cut off saw in safe operating condition.
6. Assure good hand and power tool skills.
7. Assist in handwork, prep work and cleanup as directed by the foreman.
8. Keep compaction personnel informed when handwork areas are ready for compaction.
9. Performs all functions as directed by foreman in conjunction with preparation, layout, cleaning, compaction, and finishing operations.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Field Environment - Work is exposed to outdoor conditions, noise and heat
2. Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required.
ATTENDANCE AND RELIABILITY
1. Reporting to work on time, after lunch, and not leaving early unless authorized.
2. Always providing proper notification and advance notice of absence.
3. Not abusing or taking advantage of personal days off.
4. Performing such other duties as may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands of the position includes: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
