Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Equipment Builder to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will assemble water treatment systems according to detailed specifications. Tasks will include cutting and fitting piping, mounting mechanical components, and performing testing procedures to ensure quality and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble water treatment equipment following technical drawings and written instructions
Lay out, position, and secure components using tools such as straightedges, combination squares, and tape measures
Cut and fit PVC piping using powered saws; apply primer and glue for proper joining
Use hand and power tools (e.g., drills, tapping equipment) for mechanical assembly
Mount pumps, valves, filters, tanks, and related components onto metal skid frames
Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing on piping systems to verify performance
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow all safety standards
Qualifications & Skills:
Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., saws, drills, taps)
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in equipment assembly or related fields
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
Basic knowledge of fluid systems and mechanical fittings is a plus
Preferred Experience:
1+ year experience in mechanical assembly, plumbing, or equipment fabrication
Background in water treatment equipment or similar systems is a bonus
