Position Overview:

The ASE Certified Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and service of our company's fleet of vehicles, including trucks, drill rigs, small engines and other motorized equipment. This role requires a strong background in diesel engines, hydraulics, and general vehicle maintenance. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise to diagnose and fix mechanical issues promptly, ensuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition to support our field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, including trucks, drill rigs, and other motorized equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to significant problems.

Perform diesel engine repairs, including fuel system maintenance, turbochargers, and exhaust systems.

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and hours worked.

Respond to emergency repair requests and perform on-site repairs as needed to minimize downtime.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards in the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment.

Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance and repairs.

Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

ASE Certification is required.

Proven experience as a fleet mechanic with a focus on diesel engines, hydraulics, and vehicle maintenance.

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with drill rigs or similar heavy equipment.

Additional certifications or training in hydraulics or diesel engine repair.
