Job Details

Assembling furniture pieces according to blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.

Ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and secure fastening of all components.

Inspecting finished products for quality assurance and making necessary adjustments or repairs.

Using hand and power tools to cut, shape, and install parts as required.

Performing pre-assembly quality checks on all parts of furniture and reporting faulty parts.

Positioning, gluing, fastening and assembling all components and fixtures of furniture.

Examining assembled furniture product to ensure conformance to quality standards.

Visually inspect assembly components and completed unit to ensure quality assembly.

Responsible for clean-up of work area to include empty boxes, plastic wrapping material, building material, etc. to ensure safety of area. Perform other duties as necessary.

Assist in packing furniture units by moving units from warehouse to truck, unload truck, move furniture components from trailer by hand or pallet jack into appropriate worksite location.

Occasionally assist in unloading of incoming furniture components from trailers by hand or with pallet jack and move to appropriate location in the warehouse. Identify obvious damage to materials through visual inspection and place damaged goods in specified location.

Job Requirements

Packaging, tagging and documenting all furniture items, as directed.

Arrive at the worksite on time.

Wear the required uniform and attire.

Demonstrated experience in furniture assembly.

Demonstrated ability to frequently maneuver and lift up to 75 lbs. independently as needed to assemble and occasionally lift up to 150 lbs.

Must be safety and quality conscious with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet the weekly production timelines.

Experience in using tools, such as a drill and screwdriver.

Good knowledge of electrical wiring.

Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to follow instructions accurately.

Flexibility to work in shifts.

Ability to work in a team.

Have transportation

Fluent in English (Spanish a plus)
