We are seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Diesel Mechanic and Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and farm machinery.
Responsibilities
Consulting management and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required
Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues
Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various vehicles
Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts
Operate heavy equipment for diagnostic purposes
Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
Manage and supervise mechanic team
Experience
Prior experience as a diesel mechanic or service technician, specializing in KW T800, T600, T680, W990 and PTRB 389 and others
Proficiency in rebuilding and replacing diesel engines and transmissions
Ability to operate heavy equipment for diagnostic purposes
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
Familiarity with welding, soldering, and maintenance practices
- Experience with farm machinery is a plus
