Warehouse Associate job description:
Receive products delivered to facility.
Check in all items accurately and inspect and report any damaged items that need to be reordered, repaired, etc.
Stock storage areas with received products in an organized manner including supply rooms.
Enter information from receiving tickets into database (project management tracking software, email, etc.)
Keep floors, parking lot, and common areas not within showroom clean and free of dirt, debris, and excess packing materials.
Oversee loading and unloading of contractors and employees taking product out or into the warehouse.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of trailers, box truck, and other vehicles including forklift.
Routinely peruse warehouse and grounds and make adjustments to inventory as needed to maintain organization, safety, and cleanliness.
Open warehouse prior to employee regular start times and check that facility is closed and locked including trailers at the end of day.
Ability to use forklift, pallet jack, dollies, carts, etc. to move products around in a safe manner.
Utilize safe handling practices including use of back braces, gloves, and lifting techniques.
Take pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean and organized warehouse.
Must be able to:
Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, etc.
Use carts, dollies, hand trucks.
Lift 80+ pounds.
Must speak English. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
Requirements:
Prior warehouse experience and a forklift certification preferred but not required.
Basic computer skills necessary including Microsoft Outlook.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret part numbers that are often long and complex.
Strong math skills including counting, addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Reliable transportation to get to work on time.
Clean driving record with valid driver’s license.
Pay rate $15 to $17 per hour.
