Warehouse Manager – Aviation Components
As a Warehouse Manager specializing in Aviation Components, you will take the lead in orchestrating the efficient operation of our warehouse facility. Your expertise will drive our logistics and supply chain management efforts, ensuring that all aviation components are stored, managed, and distributed with precision. This pivotal role involves managing inventory across multiple locations, maintaining compliance with aviation standards, and preparing for a significant facility relocation near Tampa International Airport.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management:
Supervise the receiving, storage, and shipping of aviation components, ensuring accurate tracking and streamlined processes.
Utilize serialized inventory systems to ensure meticulous organization and traceability of parts.
Oversee physical organization to support efficient sales, restocking, and compliance with aviation standards.
Inventory Oversight:
Track and manage inventory across locations, including domestic and international facilities (e.g., Phoenix and Thailand).
Verify serial numbers and compliance documentation, including FAA certification 8130, to maintain regulatory standards.
Operational Leadership:
Train and develop current staff, building a strong team to handle increasing workload.
Act as the main point of contact for shipments from teardown facilities, ensuring accurate documentation and preparation for resale.
Plan and execute a smooth transition to the new warehouse facility near Tampa International Airport.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Warehouse Manager, preferably in the aviation industry.
Strong understanding of aviation components, teardown processes, and compliance standards.
Skills:
Proficiency in managing serialized inventory and maintaining detailed traceability documentation.
Expertise in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate scheduling and documentation.
Familiarity with aviation compliance standards, including FAA certification processes.
Attributes:
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a methodical approach to inventory and operations management.
Effective problem-solver with the ability to lead and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership capabilities to grow and develop a high-performing warehouse team.
Challenges:
Manage increasing inventory inflows, including large teardown shipments of 250–300 parts per engine.
Oversee inventory spread across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare the team and operations for a facility relocation aimed at improving efficiency and expanding the talent pool.
