We are seeking a dynamic and customer - focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers, managing sales transactions, and supporting inventory operations within our automotive parts and service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Bilingual abilities and dealership experience are highly valued to enhance our customer interactions and sales effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Assist customers in selecting used automotive parts and accessories, providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
Manage sales transactions accurately using Checkmate/Carpart POS systems, including cash handling and credit processing.
Maintain organized inventory control, stock levels, and order fulfillment to ensure product availability.
Support inventory management through our inventory management software.
Engage in upselling and negotiation to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy.
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with the service department to facilitate seamless communication regarding parts orders and vehicle repairs.
Experience
Previous experience in used auto parts retail sales, dealership environments, or automotive repair is preferred.
Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive service is advantageous.
Knowledge of inventory management systems such as Checkmate/Carpart software is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced setting.
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette. Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or other languages), are highly desirable.
