Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in prepress and print production, with expertise in various printing techniques. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality output and maintaining the integrity of our print materials. The Technician will work closely with the production staff to bring creative concepts to life.
Duties
· RIP, Trap & Imposition of electronic files.
· Variable data work.
· Output and pagination of proofs.
· Output of plates.
· Prepare files for digital press work.
· Ability to CASS, NCOA and prepare postal documentation a plus.
Skills
· Receive incoming electronic art files
· Preflight, determining reproduction viability
· Troubleshoot and edit PDF files
· Advise Customer Service Representatives of discrepancies and possible solutions
· Prepare PDF and other file types for digital print production
· Inspect post-RIP PDF files to ensure reproduction viability and proof matching
· Interface as needed with customer service and sales staff
Ensure area is clean, organized and safe
Requirements
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Basic math and problem-solving skills
· High level Quality Control skills
· Experience in print industry
· Attention to detail
· Customer focused
· Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud - (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat)
· Understanding of offset & digital printing, trapping software, finishing processes from paper to imposition to press
· Experience in Prepress
· Ability to handle multiple tasks at same time
· Excellent pay for a qualified person

Responsible for typeset of envelopes, letterhead, graphic design of flyers, mail pieces, & signs, etc… for printing company
Must have knowledge of graphic design software, Microsoft office etc
Responsible for RIP Processor, plate burner, plate processor
Responsible for all equipment in the prepress area and knowledge of PC in our office
Responsible to keep prepress area clean and orderly
Performs other duties as assigned
