Sr. Systems Engineer - Tier 3

Role and Responsibilities:

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for designing a structured infrastructure, implementing and supporting technology solutions as an individual contributor and through utilizing members of their team. This position is expected to work with the sales team to design and propose solutions requiring high-level engineering. This position will manage multiple projects with conflicting time frames, you will be expected to make the best decisions on behalf of Zymphony. This resource manages the ticket handling process for their clients and effectively uses team resources to drive ticket closure, performance metrics and ensure customer satisfaction. Provides technical leadership to the team and organization.

Technical Responsibilities include:

• Serve as the lead on complex technical issues and opportunities

• Establish structured technical standards relating to hardware, software and services for proposals and best practices

• Support High-End Consulting Requirements related to technology including the ability to advise clients on systems efficiency needs and upgrades

• Deliver high level solutions using Microsoft, Cisco, RDS, Hyper-V, VMWare, Office 365, SQL and other enterprise technologies

• Experience with remote access, connectivity, TCP/IP, routing and firewalls

• Monitor systems performance, perform complex troubleshooting and resolution for systems at different enterprise levels

• Serve as escalation point for issues beyond team authority; resolve conflicts involving scheduling, resources, or technical issues

• Provide quality assurance oversight on trouble tickets as needed to evaluate and assess technical risks, adherence to standards, and progress according to Service Level Agreements (SLA's)

• Manages client tickets and using team resources to ensure client satisfaction and ticket metrics are achieved

• Provide training, mentorship, and support professional development of team

• Represent Zymphony professionally to all interested parties including customers, prospects, and outside vendor partners

Sales Responsibilities

• Work with Sales team in discussing service offerings and related issues with prospects during the sales cycle

• Review service offerings and coverages with customers to ensure needs are met

• Provide high-end support for the sales team for complex issues and opportunities

• Coordinate technical services activities during the sales cycle by working closely with sales team to deliver content for proposals

Preferred Technical Certifications:

MCSE, MCSA 10, 365 or Server 2016 are a plus

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum 5+ years full-time experience working in a technology solutions environment

• Valid Driver's License & transportation

Preferred Skills:

• 3+ years of MSP experience

• 3+ years of network management experience

• 5+ years of server management experience
