Belt is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience as an on-site Assistant Superintendent / Foreman. This position will assist our construction manager and superintendent. Appropriate incentives will be provided for achieving project profitability goals.
About The Company
Belt has provided general contracting services in the Tampa Bay area for over 70 years. Belt Construction provides project management services on commercial and industrial projects. Our personnel are capable of managing small to mid-size commercial, military, religious and theme-park projects.
Responsibilities
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
Coordinating construction work according to priorities and plans
Allocating general and daily responsibilities
Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
Resolve problems when they arise
Implement safety and quality guidelines
Report on progress to superintendent and construction manager
Qualifications
Previous experience as a construction foreman or assistant superintendent
Knowledgeable in placing and finishing concrete
Proven ability to operating equipment (skid steer, mini-excavator, forklift, etc)
Knowledgeable of local quality, safety and health guidelines for construction job sites
Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Bilingual – English & Spanish (preferred)
