We are seeking an EXPERIENCED AUTOMOTIVE Assembly and detail tech to work Fulltime or part time within Hillsborough County (Near Tampa airport) at a rental car repair facility where we do light to medium repairs (No heavy collision.) Only one location so no running between lots. You’ll show up to the same place everyday.
We’ve been handling this account for over 16 years and aren’t your typical on-lot vendors.
This can be a tough job at times because we don't work in a building. All jobs are done outside, under large tents in a overflow lot and at the mercy of the Florida elements. Working this way keeps our costs down and more money in YOUR pocket!
I'm looking for someone who can take pride in their work. If there are any mistakes, we need honesty and a willingness to make it right. We understand there may be a learning curve in some cases, but we are here to help.
This is a well-established small business that we’ve built up over the years and we maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality of work. This is a great job for anyone that’s into cars.
Pay is hourly and wage is based on experience
REQUIRED:
- At least 1 years of auto body shop experience.
- Ability to wet sand and buff fresh paint without burning through
- Customer service experience preferred
- Must possess strong work ethic and have the ability to function independently and responsibly
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and CLEAN driving record
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must have the ability to sit, bend, squat, and hold various positions for long periods of time; outdoors in Florida weather
-Must have the ability to work some evenings and weekends to finish jobs if necessary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Using the properly trained techniques and various tools to perform the following services:
- Remove and install bumper covers, fenders, exterior handles, mirrors and other miscellaneous trim or moldings before and after paint
- Wet sand and buff any panels with dirt, sags or runs in a timely manner
- Clean or remove overspray on any and all jobs
- Able to do multiple jobs/task at once.
- Try to keep jobs small if possible, wholesale is about speed and quality.
Salary: hourly depending on experience. We can do a working paid interview to see if you’re a good fit.
