Closet Installer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Closet Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, and installing custom closet systems, including shelving, drawers, rods, and organizational components, in residential and commercial spaces. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in carpentry or cabinetry installation, and the ability to deliver high-quality work that meets customer expectations. This position requires physical stamina, precision, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate components such as shelves, cabinets, drawers, and hardware using woodworking tools, ensuring all pieces fit seamlessly.
- Install closet systems on-site, including mounting, leveling, and securing elements to walls and floors.
- Perform finishing touches, such as painting, staining, or applying hardware, to achieve a professional appearance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues, such as structural challenges or material adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and proper disposal of waste materials.
- Communicate with clients and project managers to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Inspect completed installations for quality assurance and make any necessary adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry, woodworking, or a related field is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in closet, cabinetry, or custom millwork installation.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, drills, levels) and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, measurements, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong physical fitness to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environments, including climbing ladders.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site work.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of various materials like wood, and hardware systems.
- Customer service experience to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime during peak seasons. Work will involve travel to job sites within a designated region.
