Job Duty to include:
Setting forms that hold the concrete in place, ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch.
Spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using come along, shovel, power trowel, power screed, and float.
Monitoring the effects of weather conditions on the curing of the concrete.
Safely operating equipment like power vibrator, power trowel, power screed, and drills.
Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces.
Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces.
Directing the casting of concrete with the truck driver.
Rub concrete with abrasive stone to finish.
Removing rough/defective spots from the concrete surface, using power grinder, chisel or hammer.
Break up and repair old concrete surfaces, patch holes with fresh concrete.
Participating in routine maintenance and clean-up of job sites.
