JOB DESCRIPTION FOR
ELECTRICIANS
SCOPE OF WORK:
Work will consist of installation, alteration, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exhibits complete and thorough knowledge of all skills generally attributed to the electrical trade and possesses motivation to accomplish such tasks with general supervision.
ALL APPLICANTS SHOULD POSSESS OR BE WILLING TO LEARN THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
Basic blueprint knowledge, perform conduit bending and installation, know wire pulling procedure, familiar with tools and materials, perform wall rough-in, fixture connections and rough-in, install conduit branches and feeders, terminate junction boxes, wall rough-ins, underground rough-ins, size conduit and boxes, and perform panel, transfer and motor terminations.
All applicants should possess a current valid driver's license and have their own transportation to and from the jobsite.
All applicants are required to:
1. Work in all elements (heat, rain, cold, etc.)
2. Have required personal tools with them at all time
3. Work from various heights and from ladders and scaffolds
4. Work in restricted areas (crawl spaces, attics, etc.)
5. Wear proper protective equipment (hard hats, eye protection, construction shoes and suitable clothing)
6. Work eight (8) hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime and night shifts, as required
7. Positively identify colors of wire
8. Use power tools such as saws, threaders, hydraulic benders, wire tuggers and knockout punches
9. Dig trenches by hand or with power equipment
10. Practice and comprehend safe work procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Policy, Hazardous Communication Program, and Lockout/Tagout Policy
11. Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and perform overhead work
12. Lift 51 pounds
13. Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
