Merryman Tree Service Inc. would like to hire an experienced climber to join us. At the moment it would be part time, but as we expand there will be space for a full time position.
Requirements:
-experience with chainsaws, ability to change blades, tighten blades, cut at correct angle, gas and oil them
-ability to lift 25-50lbs
-understanding of how to carefully and safely rope down branches
-ability to use spikes safely
-ability to use a harness safely
-be prepared to always tie your ladder, use gloves, use handguard (chain break) on chainsaw, etc.
-ability to follow directions and work as a team
-knowledge on how to trim palm trees
-understanding of how to attach a trailer, and load trailer evenly
-be there when we have a scheduled job and you have agreed to work
-ability to spot for another climber
-take pride in your work, don't cut corners
-clean up after yourself
-comfortable working outside

-can attach/detach a trailer
-mechanically inclined
-knowledge of using a stump grinder
-good at problem solving and working efficiently
If you don't have you're own transportation, we need you to be able to commute to us or at Least or live within 10 minutes of Lowry Park Zoo.
This is a part time position with room for growth. If you are an experienced groundman with some climbing experience, that is also ok. Please be prepared to demonstrate your abilities and eager to work.
