Job Overview:

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, repair, and ongoing maintenance of fire alarm systems at various client sites. This is a field-based position, requiring hands-on technical expertise and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with all relevant safety codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Setup: Install, configure, and commission fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.

Testing & Inspection: Perform regular testing, diagnostics, and inspections to ensure systems are functioning correctly and in compliance with NFPA standards.

Maintenance & Repairs: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients to provide clear explanations, answer questions, and address any concerns regarding system operations.

Compliance: Ensure all work is completed in adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code).

Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, reports, and maintenance logs for all systems serviced or installed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar role within the fire safety industry.

In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 standards.

Strong technical background and familiarity with fire alarm systems, panel configurations, and devices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based environment.

Outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.
