Established, Pinellas County surveying firm is currently seeking an Instrument Person (I-Man.)
No experience required!
Job Type: Hourly (Monday Through Friday 7am-3pm working OUTDOORS)
Job Requirements:
The Instrument man's primary responsibility is assisting the Party Chief with all survey operations including the use of electronic or manual surveying instruments. All project survey data must be retained and archived for the Company records. In addition the Instrument Man is expected to assist in the general survey operations of assigned projects. The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties:
Assist Party Chief with all Survey operations
Use of Total Stations and GPS Equipment
Use hand tools for Staking and Clearing Operations
Driving company vehicle. (Valid drivers license and favorable driving record.)
Perform these duties in safe and responsible manner
Applicant must be able to pass level 2 background screening requirement. (Jessica Lunsford Act.)
Completing all tasks assigned by Supervisors
The above listed duties require periods of walking, stooping, bending, and hammering. Employee must be able to climb ladders at times and work at a height above 6 feet, pound wood and steel stakes into the ground, use machete for clearing small trees . The position also requires use of data collector or other electronic equipment. Position requires periodic lifting of up to 50 pounds. The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
