Seeking an experienced working Foreman for our small and rapidly growing underground utility construction company based in Pinellas County.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in the underground utility construction, traffic control, drainage, excavation, grading, asphalt and concrete paving
Ability to establish elevation and measure grade
Proficiency in complete site development; rough to finish grade, parking lots, curbs, building pads & ponds
Experience running heavy equipment including grader, dozer, roller, loader excavator & mini excavator
Background in laying pipe; storm drains, water & sewer
Strong communication and leadership skills
Capable of managing a team of 3-5
Problem solving and decision-making abilities
Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe work environment
Must have a valid driver’s license and clear driving record
Ability to work outside all day in the Florida heat
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of large underground utility work (storm, water & sewer)
Coordinate projects in the field from mobilization to inspection
Effectively communicate with Owner, engineers, city officials, inspectors and customers.
Ensure all work is completed in a safe and timely manner
Supervise and train crew members
Maintain accurate project documentation including project schedules, daily site logs and attendance records
