Lutz Underground seeking to hire technicians for specialized construction role -
1099 position (High pay)
Experienced applicants ONLY - Unpaid training is available for those looking to make a career change.
Travel reimbursement (Per Diem) + Full time Piece Work. Highly motivated workers have opportunity to make $3k/week.
Seeking candidate with at least 1 year experience with missile operation and telecom wires.
Site preparation: Prepare the work site and locate underground utilities to prevent hazards before digging.
Trenching and conduit installation: Dig trenches and place conduit for fiber optic cables, using both hand tools and heavy machinery like trenchers
Restoration: Backfill trenches and restore the work area to its original condition after installation is complete
Physical requirements
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and digging.
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Operate missile boring equipment for fiber optic installations
Bury conduit and drop lines to spec (residential & commercial)
Ensure depth, clearance, and proper sealing on all installs
Work independently or with a small crew to hit deadlines
Requirements
✅ Own Truck or Van
✅ Previous experience in fiber or utility bury work
✅ Valid driver’s license and reliable truck/trailer for transport
✅ LLC and liability insurance (or ability to obtain)
✅ Strong work ethic - Willing to work full time
