Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. If you enjoy driving and working independently, this position is perfect for you.
Duties
Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time while adhering to traffic regulations.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
Handle heavy lifting of packages and materials as required during loading and unloading processes.
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for tracking purposes.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred. DOT physical and drug screening required (paid by company)
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
Ability to lift heavy items (up to 150 pounds) regularly throughout the day.
Familiarity with delivery routes in the local area is advantageous.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of operating a pallet jack or forklift is beneficial but can be trained on the job.
