The Warehouse Delivery Driver is responsible for delivery, receiving, storing and distributing materials, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Essential Functions/Job Duties
Operate box trucks for the safe and efficient delivery of goods over long distances.
Secure loads using ratchet straps, ensuring that cargo is properly and safely secured before transport.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams regarding delivery schedules and routes.
Manage email communication for delivery updates, inquiries, and coordination with team members.
Monitor and check work calendar and schedule invites to ensure timely delivery and efficient use of time.
Maintain a high standard of customer service, delivering products on time and handling any issues professionally.
Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary.
Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures to ensure safe travel.
Additional Warehouse Responsibilities
Be adaptable, as job requirements and assignments may change at a moments notice.
Understand that this is not just a driving job; it also includes warehouse responsibilities.
Backup the warehouse manager when necessary.
Follow all company inventory policies and procedures.
Accurately fill and process customer and technician orders.
Willingness to learn and use software systems daily (Excel, e-automate, UPS Worldship).
Possess basic typing skills.
Accurately process inbound freight and UPS shipments both physically and in the inventory system.
Enter key customer information and serial numbers into the tracking database.
Proven experience in driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
Knowledge of using ratchet straps or similar cargo securing equipment.
Ability to drive long distances.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage emails, calendar invites, and schedules.
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, teammates, and management.
Ability to lift up to 100+ pounds and perform manual labor as needed.
Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility and reliability in meeting the needs of the business.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures.
