Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves educating children in their formative years, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development while ensuring a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and love for learning.
Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, providing feedback to parents as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that promotes exploration and creativity.
Engage with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, nannying, or special education is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of diverse learners.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
Knowledge of best practices for working with children with disabilities is a plus.
Certification in CPR/First Aid is a requirement (or class will be provided)
DCF 45 hour training & ( CDA a plus)
