Small kitchen is looking for counter /customer service and serving customers, with light prep, light cleaning duties. You should have food service experience and excellent customer service skills as it is very fast paced. We are a “foodie” environment therefore interest in fresh, homemade healthy food is essential.
This position is great for a person that loves working in a fast paced small kitchen environment and takes pleasure in food service. This is mainly a vegetarian kitchen (although not completely). We are small but this position is loaded with work to do and responsibility. Not a position for a person looking for less work and an easy job.
There is a basic hourly rate plus share of tips.
Hours
Part-time to full-time Tuesday- Friday 8:30- 4:30pm. Some extra hours may be needed during season- flexibility required.
Other duties include light shopping (when needed), dishwashing, wiping down shelves, counters, equipment, the front glass cases, sweeping, restocking supplies and keeping kitchen cleaned and organized. Prep is easy even without very much experience.
Our kitchen specializes in home made from scratch higher-end baked goods and made from scratch food. You should be food conscious (love food!) , confident in speaking with customers, professional presentation and extremely organized.
We have a consistent clientele and the standards of food quality and customer service are high. There is no baking involved for assistant. The owner works on site and needs an assistant that can handle a fast paced, constantly changing environment ( our menu changes daily). If you are not a hard worker please do not apply. If you do not have a lot of experience but an exceptional attitude and willing to learn- will train the right person. This is a very well paid position and great opportunity for advancement for the right person.
