Spiros Taverna of Jensen Beach is looking to hire qualified servers and bartenders for this upcoming season. The right candidate should have at least 3 years of serving and/or bartendering experience at a fast paced restaurant or bar. Attention to detail, cleanliness, and punctuality are extremely important. Knowledge on Greek cuisine is prefered. Must be 18 or older to make and serve alcohol.
We are a fast growing brand with several stores on the Treasure Coast, and looking to expand. When new positions become available, we prefer to hire within, so there will always be room for advancement.
Duties:
Greet guests warmly and assist them with menu selections, offering recommendations when appropriate.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including craft cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks, adhering to all food safety and responsible serving guidelines.
Manage multiple tables efficiently by prioritizing tasks through effective time management skills to maintain high-quality service during busy hours.
Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change while maintaining cash handling integrity.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and dining space in compliance with food safety standards.
Communicate with the kitchen staff to resolve any customer concerns promptly.
Support catering events or banquet functions as needed, providing excellent service in various settings.
Upsell menu items and specials to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction remains the top priority.
Stay informed about menu updates, drink recipes, and current promotions to enhance guest engagement.
Requirements
Proven experience as a server or bartender in a fast-paced restaurant. Fine dining experience is highly desirable.
Bartenders must be knowledgable with beer, wine, liquor, and craft cocktails.
Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times. Servsafe food handler certificate is required within 6 months of being hired.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
