Home Care Agency is looking to expand our staff to care for elder clients in:
PORT ST. LUCIE AND VERO BEACH
Shift work hours run from a 4 hour shift up to a 12-hour shift depending on your availability and experience.
Note: We do NOT hire Overnights Only caregivers.
If you have a passion for assisting the elderly, experience with dementia, and a stable employment history will be the perfect fit for our clients.
Also Note: 1 Weekend shift is required for all caregivers, you must be available to work a single shift every Saturday OR Sunday (both days are not required, but one shift per weekend is).
Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.
Caregivers Must Have -
SKILLS:
Engage a client& anticipate their needs
Show kindness and patience always
Have the ability to redirect dementia clients
Understand that families are concerned and involved
Laugh, have a sense of humor
Show initiative, look ahead, not wait to be asked to help
The ideal candidates will have life experience and be able to share stories with the clients about days gone by, old music, old movies, etc.
CAREGIVER MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
CNA License and/or HHA Certificate
Level 2 Background Screening
Physical and PPD within 6 months
Valid Florida Drivers License
Current Vehicle Insurance card
Social Security Card
NECESSARY CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATES:
>CPR
>Alzheimers
>HIV / AIDS
>Domestic / Elder Abuse
>Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication
>HIPPA
>OSHA Blood-Bourne Pathogens
Independent Contractors Are Welcome to Respond- Additional Requirements for Independent Contractors Is Current Liability Coverage, Current Workmans Compensation Coverage, And an Updated Health Statement. You Are Also Required to Submit A Sheriff Background Screening.
Duties may include, but not limited to meal preparation, assisting with bathing, toileting, dressing, medication reminders, transportation, doctors visits, light housekeeping, etc.
