We’re seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller with demonstrated experience in a primary healthcare/primary care office. The ideal candidate is proactive, compassionate, and committed to accurate, timely reimbursement so our clinical teams can focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and submit clean claims (electronic and paper) to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain and document required authorizations.
Apply correct ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes (including E/M) for primary care services.
Reconcile charges, payments, and adjustments; post payments and manage patient statements.
Work aging A/R, investigate denials, submit appeals, and resolve rejections promptly.
Communicate professionally with patients, payers, and internal teams regarding billing inquiries.
Submitting medical Records.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer guidelines; contribute to continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
1–3+ years medical billing experience in a primary care/primary healthcare office (preferred).
Solid knowledge of payer rules, claim scrubbing, edits, and denial management.
Proficiency with practice management/EHR systems, and Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
Clear, professional communication with patients and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Biller (CPB).
Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish or English/Creole) a plus.
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday, business hours.
Location: In person
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience $17-$22 hourly.
