Qualifications
2 + years of billing and coding experience
Billing/Coding Certification is a plus
High level of professionalism and work ethics
Strong Customer Service Skills
Strong understanding of insurance billing processes and denials
Multiple EMR and billing software experience
Highly motivated and well-organized with attention to detail
Team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
Takes initiative to solve problems and complete projects
Responsibilities
CPT, HCPS, ICD10 coding and Medical Terminology experience
Posting of Electronic and manual Claims
Verifying Health Insurance Coverage when needed
Posting of Insurance/Patient Payments
Efficient and timely resolution of claim denials
Make outbound calls and access payer portals to check claim statuses and payment discrepancies
Review, correct and Appeal Unpaid and Denied Claims
Answering Patient's Billing Questions
Identify and Bill Secondary or Tertiary Insurances
Maintain detailed records document all interactions with patients, providers and insurance companies
Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve billing issues
Assist in the management of medical records to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA compliance standards
Other Varies Duties as needed
Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour, Salary depending on experience.
