Position is responsible for being part of the operation and maintenance of a solid waste convenience center, including enforcing separation of waste/recyclable materials mandated by State and County laws, rules and ordinances while providing ongoing quality customer service.
Work schedules require working every weekend and working three other days during the week, depending on the site you are working at. Additionally, it requires working on some county-observed holidays (the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, the day after Christmas, and Good Friday).
RESPONSABILITIES:
-Responsibilities may include but are not limited to yard clean-up, site maintenance, and cleaning up physical grounds.
-Cleans up work areas and directs people to the correct container for disposal.
-Directs traffic at the site as necessary.
-Helps customers as needed.
-Perform any other function related to the job assigned to you.
-Take instructions from supervisors and managers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
-Works in a variety of environmental conditions, including wide variations in temperature and climate including: heat, cold, rain, wind, noise and vibrations, fume, odor and dust.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Immediate availability.
-Must be 21 years or older.
-Must be authorized to work in the U.S
-Be able to lift 50 Pounds and move heavy objects.
-Be able to follow safe operating practices.
-Must speak English
