JANITOR (Monday - Friday, Anytime after 5 and before midnight, FLEXIBLE)
Job summary
Employees in this job perform and oversee a variety of janitorial, custodial, and/or security tasks to maintain clean and safe buildings and grounds. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION!
Summary of essential job functions
Arm and Disarm system alarm
Clean and service restrooms.
Replace toilet paper, paper towel and hand-soap as needed.
Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and hallways.
Gather and dispose of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment.
Lock and unlock buildings.
Observe appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; report needed repairs, or safety hazards.
Dust such items as blinds, furniture, file cabinets, all horizontal services and windowsills using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items.
Polish furniture, metal work, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds.
Maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.
Clean windows, mirrors and fixtures.
Education
No specific amount of formal education is required.
Experienced desired, but not needed. Employee will be trained.
Physical Requirements
Requires an employee to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals.
Knowledge of the qualities and uses of various cleaning, sanitizing, stripping and waxing compounds.
Knowledge of building and property security procedures.
Ability to organize and coordinate.
