About the Position:
We are currently hiring a motivated and experienced Assistant Service Writer / Manager / Salesperson to join our busy and growing independent auto repair shop in Port Saint Lucie.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the automotive service industry, excellent customer service and sales skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Service Writer or Assistant Manager in an auto repair shop (required)
Strong knowledge of writing estimates using ALLDATA or similar software
Proven ability to upsell services and close sales confidently
Excellent customer service and phone communication skills
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Positive, professional attitude and team player
Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Greet and write up customers upon arrival
Prepare accurate service estimates using ALLDATA or comparable software
Process customer payments and close out repair orders
Order parts and coordinate with vendors
Follow up with customers regarding ongoing work, approvals, or future maintenance
Assist in upselling recommended services to increase shop profitability
Provide professional phone and front-desk support
Support the manager with scheduling, workflow, and operations
Perform additional tasks delegated by the shop manager as needed
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment
