Testing and Balance Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Testing and Balance Technician to join our team. As a Testing and Balance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of HVAC systems by performing comprehensive testing, balancing, and adjusting air and water systems. This role requires technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct air and water balancing procedures on HVAC systems in compliance with industry standards.

Perform testing, troubleshooting, and adjustments of air handling systems, duct systems, and water systems.

Use advanced diagnostic equipment to assess system performance and ensure it meets design specifications.

Interpret blueprints and system documentation to identify operational parameters and design discrepancies.

Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports on system performance and adjustments.

Coordinate with engineers and other technical staff to ensure the proper functioning of HVAC systems.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards during all testing and balancing procedures.

Provide technical support and training to clients and other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Testing and Balance Technician or in a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, air and water balancing techniques, and system troubleshooting.

Proficiency with testing instruments such as manometers, flow hoods, and other diagnostic tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license, valid social security card, we are a drug free workplace and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with energy efficiency systems and sustainable building practices.

Familiarity with indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments.
