Job Description

We are looking for a top-performing FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer to innovate and create the electronics that Aerospace runs on.

We are seeking someone who will work closely with our Platform Center of Excellence team who brings the right experience designing & verifying FPGA/ASICs for Electronic
This position is in Clearwater, Florida.

Help us create the world’s most advanced systems with your embedded processing and computer architecture skills for our global space-based electronics for human based or satellite systems, sensors and navigation systems for missiles and interceptors, and a range of aviation safety, cockpit, engine control, and connectivity products and services.

In this visible, technical role, you will design, verify, integrate and test the FPGA/ASIC solutions that enable Aerospace’s products. You will be responsible for coding, running simulations, synthesis, creating test benches, and preparation of documentation. You will work closely with world class hardware and software engineers during planning, requirements and architecture, design, test and integration phases. You will lead project reviews and audits. You will inspire your team to collaborate across engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our Aerospace market. You will be the conduit that partners with and influences the trusted experts that create the lowest cost, fastest reliable electronics in Aerospace.

Integration and Test Support
Provide Customer Support
Prepare Documentation
Mentor junior engineers
Experience in ASIC/FPGA development and verification
Good VHDL or Verilog working knowledge

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
To conform to U.S. Government technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Active Secret Clearance

WE VALUE
Cyber security background
Good VHDL or Verilog working knowledge
Professional knowledge of design tools: simulators, STA tools, synthesis, etc.
Knowledge of AMBA, PCI, Ethernet, I2C,SPI, OS Linux, scripting languages Perl, Shell, TCL
Knowledge of DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware development lifecycle
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong computer and web navigation skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer)
Self-starter, motivated and takes initiative and able to work independently
Strong technical problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Experience in ASIC/FPGA development and verification
Good VHDL or Verilog working knowledge

Active Secret Clearance
