Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule, manage, coach, counsel, train and supervise assigned staff of Leads, Coordinators and Clerical staff so that all business functions are constantly covered and service to the customer is maintained.
Collaborates with other supervisors on employee vacation and scheduled time off to insure adequate coverage at all times.
Utilize performance measurement systems to improve productivity and customer service.
Maintain department payroll/Kronos and time sheets and ensure compliance with all Company policies
Expeditiously respond to any customer issue or question as required that fall beyond the ability or knowledge of assigned Team Leaders, Coordinators and Clerical staff.
Monitor and manage shipments within areas of responsibility to ensure most current information is available and complete including status updates, cost – both original and all additional costs incurred during transit, charges.
Accountable for immediately informing the payer/customer of delays or price changes
Create and maintain strong, positive working relationships with all team members, external customers and service providers, both internal and external
Manage process improvement and assist implementation of best practices. Must be able to be on call any time – 24/7 including weekends and holidays and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends as required.
Daily quality monitoring of phone calls/shipments/quotes/routings with real time feedback
Consistently monitor goals for individuals, group and Company
Provide detailed training plans for cross training including goals versus actual
Implement reports to track data and trends and report to management daily, weekly and each period to measure your team performance.
Create action plans for areas not at or above goal. Follow up until desired performance level is achieved
Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications / Requirements
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background, four year college degree preferred
3-5 years of supervisory experience in a call center or transportation/logistics environment preferred
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills and telephone skills
Must be able to direct a staff of coordinators while also handing shipment routing issues and customer escalation issues.
Communications and conflict resolution skills need to be well developed.
Candidate must be comfortable using them with customers and internal team members including field operations and sales management
Strong computer skills including Word and Excel, ability to quickly learn new applications
Strong Project Management skills, attention to detail and good follow-up skills
