We help our customers move the world.Position Overview:Siemens Mobility is growing and adding to our Customer Service Procurement Team in the US. We are seeking to fill a Project Procurement Manager to be based in any one of our Siemens Mobility locations in the US as this will be a hybrid role reporting onsite.The Project Procurement Manager will lead all procurement required planning, execution, control, and closeout activities for assigned projects.You will lead and run one or more complex projects to deliver the agreed scope within planned quality, time, and cost parameters to satisfy the specified project requirements. You will support the overall business case, targeted margins, and cash flow objectives.The Project Procurement Manager will lead the Procurement efforts for large critical infrastructure Projects, working on innovative solutions. You will collaborate with colleagues in sales, engineering, operations, finance, & management, both locally & globally.What your day-to-day will look like:

Integrate Procurement in the project management process (PM@Siemens) and organize, control, and monitor all Procurement activities in a project.

Review and monitor the sales pipeline. Meet with cross-functional partners and participate in project/sales meetings to provide procurement market information to optimize supplier selection and as a project core team member to exert a shaping influence at an early stage.

Analyze customer inquiries during bid preparation / opportunity management phases and exactly understands the customer's functional needs to include (supplier) innovations.

Establish material budgets and monitor costs through project execution phase.

Clearly define the supply chain. Create and maintain project procurement plans, assure superior supply chain execution throughout the entire project, document, communicate, and execute the supply chain strategy to cross-functional project teams.

Understand the scope of supply and customer contract agreements, perform risk analysis and prepare for negotiations with suppliers and identify supply chain risks and monitor the supply chain during project execution to avoid potential issues/risks.

Coordinate with various commodity managers both locally and globally for supplier negotiations to assure optimization of project spend.

Analyze project scope of supply, contractual obligations, and end customer's functional needs. Identify procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, claims and market forces during the entire project, together with Commodity Management, to avoid potential damage and to exploit savings potential.

Ensure that mitigation of procurement risks, changes to original scope of supply and potential claims (towards customers and suppliers) are covered in valid contracts with suppliers. Ensure that required customer contractual obligations are fulfilled by supplier and covered in a way that mitigates Siemens' risk exposure.

Clarify internal indicators for project controlling and compile all relevant information to submit qualified reports. Proactively ensure resources availability, status, transparency and alerting of deviations.

To thrive in this role, you have:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or other relevant Business-related degree,

15+ years of Supply Chain & Project experience,

Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate with both internal and external partners,

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite,

Experience in project scheduling,

Demonstrated broad supply chain knowledge,

Demonstrated solid communication and listening skills,

Setting you apart from others would be experience with SAP and PM@Siemens knowledge and experience.

The base salary range for this position CA and DE is $141,500-$191,500, in FL, NC, PA, GA, and KY is $128,700-$174,200 and in MA and NY is $154,400-$209,000 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base.
