Island Chef Cafe Line Cook/Cashier- $15/ hour + tips
Who We Are:
Island Chef Café’s mission is to bring a taste of the Bahama Islands to your palate. We use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients while providing a fantastic food truck experience. It began with a chef from the Bahamas blending Bahamian flare and classic American culinary techniques; add a food truck, passionate team members and a mission to spread community awareness of island flavors in Atlanta and south Florida.
Who You Are:
We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic “people-person”, who may just so happen to have a passion for unique culinary flare, seafood, and authentic jerk dishes. As a line cook and cashier, you will complete a variety of tasks from taking orders to preparing meals. If you enjoy fast-paced environments and an occasional silly food pun, we want you!
What You’ll Do:
· Take customer orders and process payments using cashier skills using the Square POS system
· Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and offering helpful suggestions
· Prepare and serve food items in accordance with food safety guidelines
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food service area
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
· Assist with food and equipment inventories
· Set up, stock and prep assigned station
· Accurately prepares food products to order and according to recipe
· Communicates prep needs to the prep crew or Chefs
· Upholds food quality and safety standards
· Completes assigned cleaning tasks as per the master cleaning schedule
· Maintains clean and organized work area
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment required
· Line cook experience
· Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
· Cashier experience required
· A team player with the ability to deliver great customer service
