Medical Assistant
Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9:00AM-5:00PM
May work overtime on Wednesday and Thursday
Responsibilities:
Providing patient education with regards to office policies, medications, and treatment management
Preparing patients for examinations
Assisting the physician with medical procedures
Maintaining supplies, equipment, stocking, and sterilizing instruments
Disposing of biohazardous waste according to OSHA standards
Performing accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times
Checking eligibility and benefits and communicating with health insurances
Obtaining referrals and authorizations for office visits and procedures
Other administrative and clinical duties as needed
Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must be female
Bilingual (English and Spanish) ONLY; MUST SPEAK SPANISH FLUENTLY
Optional Medical Assistant certificate and/or experience
Responsible, Hard-working, Patient, Proactive
