Duties:
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Safely load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas using forklifts.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately recording material movement.
Skills:
- Experience operating a variety of forklifts, including cherry pickers and lift trucks.
- Proficient in loading and unloading materials in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Knowledge of basic math skills to accurately record inventory movement.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Familiarity with equipment repair and maintenance is a plus.
- Prior experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
