Job description
We are a family-owned baked goods manufacturing facility located in Miami. We are looking for a Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of our production machinery.
Responsibilities:
-Setting up equipment for production.
-Clean and rinse equipment according to specified procedure.
-Controlling and adjusting machine settings.
-Feeding raw materials.
-Inspect parts and fix issues that might occur during shift.
-Routinely check production outputs.
-Completes all daily required documentation and reporting for equipment, supplies and product.
-Maintains company standard for cleanliness, food safety and productivity in the production area.
-Provides support for the production supervisor in maintaining continuous production and adjusting when necessary.
-Ensures compliance to Quality and Food Safety Programs such as SQF, FDA; assures conformity to all Company, Customer and Government Standards.
Requirements:
-Must be able to speak both English and Spanish.
-Must be able to stand for 10 – 12 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks. Required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed during the busy season. Must use protection such as eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, masks, slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
-Must be legal to work in US and have reliable transportation.
Qualifications:
-Prior Food Manufacturing Experience preferred.
-Prior Experience as Machine Operator on various equipment.
-Ability to work cooperatively with a team.
-Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills.
-Highschool diploma or GED preferred.
-Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
