Job Overview:
As a Warehouse Worker you will play a key role in the efficient day-to-day operations of our warehouse. Your duties will involve receiving, processing, and organizing merchandise and materials, ensuring that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Receive and Process Shipments:
Unload trucks and containers.
Check and verify shipment contents against records such as invoices or orders.
Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to the supervisor.
2. Inventory Management:
Accurately sort, label, and store goods in specific locations within the warehouse.
Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain inventory accuracy.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
3. Equipment Operation:
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe manner.
Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
4. Maintain Warehouse Cleanliness and Safety:
Keep warehouse areas clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
5. Assist in Other Duties:
Assist in various warehouse tasks as needed, such as loading and unloading, material handling, and other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
Proficient in operating warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Strong physical endurance: ability to lift and move heavy items.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Skilled in using ShipStation for shipping management and order tracking.
Experience with WMS software.
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in warehouse environments.
Working Conditions:
This role involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products for extended periods.
The warehouse environment may have varying temperatures.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
