PAID TRAINING BEGINS THIS SATURDAY at 8:45am at the Coconut Grove Farmers Market in Miami and Sunday in Stuart, FL.
Do not apply if you are not available to train this Saturday and Sunday. This is an EVERY WEEKEND job. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to working every Saturday and Sunday through May.
We are looking for someone to work markets ranging from Martin County all the way down to Miami-Dade County on Saturdays and Sundays. MUST have full availability all day Saturday 7:30am-5pm, and Sundays you will have an 8am start in Stuart, FL until 2:30pm. Please understand, your market location may change within the the counties mentioned as we are constantly applying and getting accepted into new markets.
Pick up location for your market setup on Saturdays will be in Delray Beach at 7:30am starting Oct 26. However, before that date your pick up location may either be in Hobe Sound or Loxahatchee Groves. So please be flexible as we get started here at the beginning of the season. Our ideal candidate lives close in or around Delray.
Must have SUV or Van that you are not afraid of putting miles on as you will be driving long distances. You will be compensated for gas and your time from FOOD pick up location to your market destination. You will also be paid a very competitive 100% commission on sales during market hours.
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be knowledgeable about vegan and gluten-free foods.
Here's a list of your responsibilities (this list is a guideline and not all inclusive):
1. Meet at pick up location to receive your market set up and food to sell
2. Drive to your market
3. Carefully unload vehicle, greet market manager and set up farmers market tent and tables
4. Assertively offer samples to passersby (THIS IS THE KEY TO IT ALL)
5. Make lots of sales (cash and card) and meticulously manage inventory
6. Answer customer questions kindly and thoroughly
7. Carefully pack up tent, table and market items into vehicle
Paid training for the right person will start this Saturday, Sept 28 at Coconut Grove Farmers Market in Miami and Sunday, Sept 29 in Stuart Farmers Market in Martin County. First day officially on your own at the market will be Saturday, October 5th in Miami and Sunday, Oct 6th in Stuart. We have a very competitive commission structure.
