Full-time | Extensive Travel Across the Southeast | Hands-On Tech Role
TS&L is a fast-growing leader in smart-city safety technology, specializing in solar cameras, blue light emergency towers, wireless communication systems, and intelligent infrastructure for college campuses and municipalities.
We are hiring a Field Technician who will handle installations, repairs, and service calls throughout the entire Southeast region — including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
This is a hands-on, highly active position for someone who enjoys traveling, working with technology, and solving real-world problems in the field.
What You’ll Do
Travel extensively to customer sites across the Southeast U.S. to perform installations, repairs, and service calls
Install, configure, and service wireless radios, IP cameras, solar systems, and emergency communication devices
Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and power issues both on-site and remotely
Work directly with campus police departments, municipal staff, and IT administrators
Perform diagnostic checks, system testing, and preventative maintenance
Document work performed with site photos, notes, and completion reports
Support TS&L’s technical and service teams when not traveling
Who We’re Looking For
Someone who enjoys being on the road and doing hands-on tech work
Comfortable with tools, wiring, ladders, and light physical labor
Tech-savvy with basic networking knowledge (IP addresses, routers, Wi-Fi, etc.)
Strong communicator with customers and internal teams
Professional, reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Experience with low-voltage, wireless radios, IP cameras, or field service is a big plus

Requirements
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (travel is constant)
Ability to travel overnight frequently across the Southeast
Can lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or outdoors when required
Basic electronics or networking background preferred
Must be dependable and customer-focused
Occasional weekend or after-hours work for critical installs or outages
