We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG and Stick welding and capable of interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to fabricate metal structures and components. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of welding processes, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
-Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components based on blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
-Perform MIG and Stick welding on various metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
-Operate tools and machinery such as grinders, plasma cutters, saws, drills, and press brakes.
-Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding using measuring tools and jigs.
-Inspect and test completed welds and structures to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
-Perform quality control checks and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety regulations and proper material handling procedures.
-Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet project deadlines and improve production processes.
-Maintain welding equipment and tools, and report any defects or required maintenance.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 3–5 years of professional welding/fabrication experience.
-Proficient in MIG and Stick welding techniques.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
-Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication best practices.
-Skilled in the use of measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, squares).
-Knowledge of shop math, especially as it relates to fabrication and layout.
-Comfortable working in both a shop and field environment.
-Welding certification preferred (e.g., AWS, ASME), but not required.
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
-Some forklift and scissor lift experience is a plus.
